CYFRA 21-1 (CYFRA) or Cytokeratin Fragments or Tumour / Cancer marker

Serum levels are measured as an indicator for bronchopulmonary malignancies such as large cell and squamous cell carcinomas. CYFRA 21 is not an indicator for small cell carcinoma. Serum levels may also be slightly raised in patients with non-malignant lung disease.
